A message from the IU Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies:
Join the Bloomington and IU communities TONIGHT for a great opportunity to support the recovery and reconstruction efforts in Haiti and build camaraderie with your community.
A Mardi Gras Fundraising Party
featuring roots music by Coyaba and Baraka
at Rachael’s Cafe
TONIGHT! Tuesday, February 23rd
This evening’s benefit, featuring live local music and Caribbean food at Rachael’s Café, will generously be donating their earnings to the Cram the Container Campaign! We are thrilled to have the opportunity to get some additional funding to buy some much needed supplies to send to Haiti and to complete our Cram the Container efforts. The money raised from these events will be spent on tents and camping gear from Bloomington dealers who have agreed to generously extend their wholesale prices to the cause. In addition to great food and music, there will also be $2 domestic beer specials.
Please help spread the word about this event and feel free to forward our message. We hope to see some of you there!
