Players Pub benefit concert update!

This just in: the benefit concert held today at the Players Pub in downtown Bloomington raised $1,610 for Haiti relief efforts! The funds will be converted into materials donations to fill the 20′ cargo container being shipped later this week to the Dominican Republic, where the goods will be expedited through customs. The US Agency for International Development (USAID) will then coordinate with other relief agencies to deliver the materials to Haiti by truck and helicopter.

The ten-hour-long Players Pub benefit featured many wonderful local musicians, including Krista Detor and Dave Weber, Steve Bulldog Johnson, Carpenter and Clerk, Laura Lashbrooks, Leon Chance, Maria Sarah, Natalie Coffin, Kathy Norton, Bill Headley, Ransom Haile, Mark Menefee, Tyler Fergeson and Elmo Taylor, OR2, Karen Taborn, Scott Kellogg, Layton Jaymes, Loretta Gooden, Jenn Christy, Nate Johnson and Mike Lucas, Janiece Jaffe, and event organizer Curtis Cantwell Jackson.

Much appreciation and love to all the people who planned, played, and paid for this event.
